"Today
I tried a Merridee's Pecan Pie for the first
time. My co-worker brought it to work and
gave me a slice. I thought I was in heaven.
I'm a southern girl but I've never had pecan
pie that tasted this good! I've tasted a
lot of them but not like this... and the
crust was so flaky. I came home and told
my husband about the pie. I said "We're
going to Franklin this weekend to get one.
Great pie."

staff at Capitol Records Nashville just received
your Chocolate Cake, Coconut Cake, Red Velvet
Cake and Pecan Pie from our vocal group LITTLE
BIG TOWN for a Christmas gift and I am telling
you these are the best desserts I've EVER
eaten in my life and I've had a lot of cakes!!!
I live in Mt. Juliet, so I wasn't familiar

the molasses cookies, Monte Cristo sandwich

the trip up from Huntsville (2hrs) about
once a month if possible. The chicken salad
if to die for, as is the pecan pie and cinnamon
rolls. This is the best deli / bakery we

first heard about you on The Food
Network Channel. They were telling
your story about Merridee's and it looked
so good that we had to come and find you.
We were not disappointed. You are not very
far from our home in Huntsville, Alabama.
We always stop by on our way to Nashville.
I come from a long line of good southern
cooks, but your chicken salad sandwich is
the best we've ever eaten. We get it every
time we come. But I can never decide on just
one dessert. Every thing is so good. But
I absolutely love your pecan pie!! YUMMO!
We like the atmosphere with the brick walls,
quilts on the walls and baskets hanging from
the ceiling. Very cute place. We never have
to wait very long for our food either! But
sometimes it's very crowded."

My husband and I were traveling to Binghamton,
AL to visit our daughter-in-law's family.
By a serendipitous decision, standing on
the corner, one way was the deli and we headed
the other way, to your bakery. We had the
best lunch, sandwiches, pie. In my fifty
years I have never had... a drum roll please...
chicken salad sandwich!!!!!!!! I now dream
about your sandwich, tasted another after
yours and it does not compare. I did tell
one of your staff my shocking revelation,
even my husband hadn't realized I never had
a chicken salad sandwich. Is the recipe in
your cookbook? Also for the snicker doodle
cookies. I bought several bags of cookies
for my southern hosts and they raved about
them. Nothing is worse than craving food
and knowing I may never pass your way again,
sincerely snicker doodled."

I gave birth to my first baby this past year,
a family member sent us a gift basket from
Merridee's. I literally lived off that basket
while I was in the hospital. The Viking sticks
were amazing. I was so hungry and I would
get up in the middle of the night to eat
them. They were so hearty and healthy too!
I have already requested that a Merridee's
gift basket be present at the birth of any
other children we have. It was also perfect
because we had some delicious treats to share
with all of our visitors."

was raised in Arrington and have loved Merridee's
since you opened. My mom and I currently
live in Kentucky and stop for lunch almost
every time we come home! We especially love
the chicken salad and Viking Bread, and I
always leave with one of your huge mint brownies
- it takes all day to eat. Looking forward

"I
was heading south this weekend on a road
trip with one goal. I wanted to eat at places
that I could not duplicate at home. I wanted
to make the trip more memorable by avoiding
the chains and typical road trip fare. Thankfully
I stumbled into Franklin as I heard of the
eateries
and it was pouring outside. I was lucky enough
to find a spot close by so we walked into
a warm inviting atmosphere where I was greeted
by a hard decision... "what to order?" I
chose a breakfast braid and my wife had biscuits
and gravy and a coffee. What a place to get in
out of the rain and enjoy a nice breakfast. On
my next trip on I-65 south I will be sure to stop
in again and try this one of a kind treasure!"

brother, sister-in-law, and many friends
live in Franklin. When we visit, we go straight
from the airport to Merridee's. When they
visit us they always bring goodies from Merridee's.
What a fun location, incredible atmosphere,
and of course-GREAT FOOD! We have had many
fun memories and we can't wait to return."

in-laws used to live in Franklin and introduced
us to Merridee's on our first visit. They
have since retired to Mississippi and our
trips to visit now, we always take the time
to go by and pick up some cinnamon rolls
to eat on the road. Usually we stop on the
way down and the way up! It's worth the extra
road time!"

in (I was in Clarksville visiting my daughter
and she LOVES Franklin) We enjoyed lunch
(chicken salad sandwiches) and took home

of Oatmeal bread AND cookbooks - enjoyed
all. Jesse told us that your website was
scheduled to be "up" shortly, so
